Great day on the water today. While the meat fishing was a little on the slow side we did manage to catch a few dolphins to go with our blue marlin. He wasn't the biggest but he sure was fun to see. There isn't many things that are better than backing down on a blue marlin. There was a decent showing of marlins around the fleet. Fishing should be good this weekend and we still have Saturday open weather looks beautiful too. Pretty good dolphin fishing today. We stopped short and caught a nice gaffer setting out. Had a couple more bites working out to the deep where we found a beautiful grass line that was holding some bailers. I went east cause everyone else went west on it. We didn't do quite as good as the boats that went to the west but we still picked along and wound up with a pretty good catch. There was a few marlins seen and caught to the west. Maybe next time I'll make the right turn. 1/2 day this morning plenty of Spanish mackerel bites. Not the biggest but fun nonetheless. Marlin fishing offshore was excellent today.
